The project has already been presented to the Parliament's Finance Committee. Nicolás Aznárez, audiovisual producer and promoter of the audiovisual strip zone project, explained, in conversation with El Observador TV, the importance of having an audiovisual park in Uruguay and detailed how it would work.
The proposal consists of creating a kind of private neighborhood where several sound studios and eight houses will be placed, where each one of them will be a mini filming set in which the goal will be to have the greatest capacity to recreate what the audiovisual product requires.
Aznárez said that if the proposal is carried out, the park will be located in the department of Maldonado, will cover 30 hectares and will have a private investment of 150 million dollars. VIDEO INTERVIEW:
